Project Overview

Avenisi World Youth Educational Center - Republic of Georgia

Avenisi is one of a series of world campuses being planned specifically for school children to explore possible solutions to global problems and to learn to think critically about environmental issues. The campus is intended to demonstrate sustainable architecture and resource efficient technologies in energy, water, farming, telecommunications and computer application.

RMI/ENSAR Role

RMI/ENSAR functioned as the U.S. Project Manager and served as one of three American architects on the joint Soviet-American design team.

Results

Avenisi was awarded the grand prize of the first Biennial of Architecture in Georgia.
